Eugene S. Weil is a co-founder of Milestone, sits on its Board of Directors and is a member of Blackstreet Capital Management’s Investment Committee. Prior to founding Milestone Merchant Partners, Mr. Weil was a Managing Director of Friedman, Billings, Ramsey & Company, Inc. (“FBR”). At FBR, Mr. Weil had significant responsibility for the firm’s day-to-day financial services practice. In addition, Mr. Weil had primary responsibility for building and supervising the group’s M&A and e-Finance investment banking practices, completing approximately 50 transactions during his tenure with the firm. While at FBR, Mr. Weil led several financial institution buyout deals under a streamlined transaction/financing structure that was pioneered by his team. He was previously Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Hovde Financial, Inc., a financial services M&A boutique and private hedge fund manager. Mr. Weil began his career as a corporate attorney at Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld. He received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and his Juris Doctor from The Washington University School of Law.
