Mr. Hart is a Vice President of Milestone Merchant Partners and also the Chief Operating Officer of the Romania & Moldova Direct Fund, L.P. Mr. Hart joined IEP in 1997 and has led the RMDF effort from Bucharest since early 1998. He is a member of that fund's Investment Committee. Prior to joining IEP, Mr. Hart served as an Associate with The Carlyle Group. Most recently he served as a member of The Carlyle Group's Economic Offset Advisory Team in Riyadh, assisting the Saudi Arabian government in identifying and implementing joint venture projects. Prior to this, Mr. Hart was an International Business Analyst at Reed Smith Shaw & McClay in Washington, D.C. as well as a consultant with The Arbiter Group International. Mr. Hart has completed postgraduate work in International Finance and Accounting from John Hopkins University, received his Masters of Arts in International Transactions from George Mason University and a Bachelor of Arts in Middle Eastern and Asian Studies from the University of Virginia. He is fluent in French.
